i heard that since the unis get the results early for admin reasons, occasionally people will get their results in the form of an acceptance/rejection letter a day or so before results day

Uni's get the results 24 hours before we do. best thing to do is check Ucas to see if you've been accepted before you go collect your results, that way you know what to expect either good or bad. plus itd be terrible to find you got shit grades and panic, only to find out later you were already accepted

You can miss the grades and still get in depending on the demand for your course.
